Phase 1: Relief Care
When you are in pain, our first objective is to decrease your pain levels and enable you to perform activities of daily living with less or no pain at all. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week initially, and the number of weeks varies based on your condition. Periodic evaluations will be performed to ensure that you are making the expected progress or to determine if further testing or change in treatment is needed.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
This is taking your care to the next level, really correcting the root of the problem and not getting temporary relied. With this chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury or exacerbation. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100% functioning. The treatment plan is longer, but your results will be worth it!
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once you have achieved the benefits of chiropractic care through pain relief or correction, it is important to maintain your gains through periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid the same or similar problems in the future. It's like fixing a cavity, you don't stop brushing your teeth after your cavity is fixed! - well you could, but you want to keep healthy teeth-. Just like you need to use your teeth multiple times daily to chew your food, we also need to use our joints hundreds of times a day, and to keep the body in good alignment and prevent wearing a tearing from uneven walking or repetitive stress, monthly adjustments are all you need.
