On your initial visit you will come into our clinic and meet the front desk ladies, sign in, show your identification and any insurance card (if applicable) and shortly after we will take you to a private room for a full consultation.
The consultation consists of going over the intake forms with you and reviewing the details of your current complaints and medical history.
We will answer any questions or concerns you may have about your pain and condition and explain how chiropractic works and how it can help you get pain relief. Dr. Fulcher believes education is key to help everyone understand not only how chiropractic care helps physical muscle, joint, and nerve pain, but how the body works and how joints behave and what he does to alleviate the pain, tightness, discomfort, numbness, or burning sensation you might be experiencing.
Patients truly enjoy this part of their visit, we frequently notice several “ah-ha!” moments, even for those patients who are not new to chiropractic. And when you, as a patient, have a better understanding of how your body works, you will make better and more informed decisions about your health and treatment.
The consultation is followed by the examination. First, we check your vitals: height, weight, blood pressure. We will do a physical exam, including orthopedic and neurological tests to ensure chiropractic care is safe and suited to your condition.
In cases where x-rays are needed, we have the equipment to do them at our office. And on your next visit we will discuss those x-rays in detail with you.
By now, you should be ready to start treatment, your first adjustment, how exciting! Dr. Fulcher knows different adjusting techniques and will treat you based on your needs and preferences. Feel free to ask him any questions, he loves explaining and engaging in this type of conversation!
Once your spine is aligned, and you have been put “back” together, Dr. Fulcher will give any necessary home care instructions (use ice, drink lots of water, etc).
Now it is time to check out, our friendly receptionists will help you schedule your follow-up visit to go over the x-rays, any future treatment recommendations, and cost of care.
